This final middle school math course will help students take what they have learned and begin to apply it independently in preparation for high school math. Students entering Pre- Algebra should be prepared to analyze real world situations in order to solve problems using mathematics.

Pre-Algebra Curriculum Description:

• Decimals/Fractions in Problem-Solving
• GCF/LCM Prime Factorization
• Problem-Solving with Integers
• Writing/Solving Algebraic Expressions/Equations
• Writing/Solving Inequalities
• Forms of Rational Numbers/Ratios/Proportions
• Percent
• Statistics/Probability
• Radicals
• Geometry (polygons, angle relationships/Pythagorean Theorem)
• Surface Area/Volume
• Polynomials (+ - x ÷)

This class will meet twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Textbook:  BJU Pre- Algebra (2^nd Ed.)

Tuition:  $700/year or $70/month for 10 months

Non-refundable Supply Fee: $65/year; due to Ms.Bakken upon registration with PREPCLASSES.

Drop Fee after September 15 will be 2 months tuition.

Drop Fee after December 15 will be the remaining year’s tuition.
